People pleasing so hard, I forgot who I was created to be. Yep that was me, a true people pleaser. God showed me recently that sometimes I focus so much on pleasing others, that I forget I am an individual created uniquely by my creator. I forget that first, I\u2019m to have an individual relationship with God, and be pleasing to Him, before I can love people the way that I should. This stems from years of trauma, which praise God! He is helping me through!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Psalm 139 is a wonderful passage letting us know we were created uniquely by God. No two people are alike.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Jeremiah 1:5 God tells Jeremiah \u201cBefore I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Colossians 3:23 \u201cAnd whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
People pleasing also causes us to be exhausted, because our brain and emotions are constantly in overtime. We feel burdened to make people happy. But one, we know God is the only one who can give true joy. And two, we are to take our burdens to the Lord. Matthew 11:28 \u201cCome unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n
You are a unique individual, dear sisters, who God has a unique purpose for. The Bible is filled with verses testifying to this. Are we to love our neighbor as ourselves? Yes! But we are to love God first and foremost. (Matthew 22:36-40) By doing so, our focus will be on God, and who He created us to be, and then we can love our neighbors as we should.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Don\u2019t lose focus of who God created you to be. For He has plans for you that are far greater than you can ever imagine! <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
